Roger Federer pulled off what he described as his “best shot ever,” in his defeat of Novak Djokovic in the 2009 US Open Semi Final.
Federer made an audacious, between his legs “hotdog” shot to bring up a match point on Djokovic’s serve in the final game of the third set. “I do practice them a lot actually but they never work,” conceded Federer after the match. “That’s why I guess it was the greatest shot I ever hit in my life.”
